INTERNAL MEDICINE

Our Services

The VSS Small Animal Internal Medicine service provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for dogs and cats with acute and chronic diseases of their internal organ systems. This department works with your primary veterinarian to accept referrals by appointment of cases requiring specialty-level evaluation, diagnostics and management.

Our Small Animal Internal Medicine service has two board-certified veterinary internists on staff, registered veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants. We work closely with the other specialists and emergency doctors at VSS to ensure comprehensive care for your pet.

We commonly diagnose and manage diseases of the major bodily systems including the immune system, liver and gall bladder, the kidneys and urinary bladder, the gastrointestinal tract, the pancreas, the thyroid and adrenal glands, and the respiratory system.

We offer the following services to our patients:

  • Rigid and flexible endoscopy
