Meet Our Team

Dr Jeremy Shomper earned BS degrees in Equine Studies and Biology from Virginia Intermont College. He spent several years riding Hunter and Jumper horses prior to returning to Virginia to attend Veterinary School at Virginia Tech.

A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Rausch has experience in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery with special interest in oncologic surgery and wound management.

Dr. Mays is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and has special clinical interest and research experience in trauma resuscitation, transfusion therapy, and disorders of coagulation.

Dr. Cletzer is originally from Vermont. She attended the University of New Hampshire for her undergraduate degree, and then attended Cornell University for veterinary school. After graduating veterinary school, she completed her rotating internship at Tufts University.

Jill Luther is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University who received her DVM from the University of Missouri.

A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. Anderson has extensive experience in general soft tissue, oncologic and orthopedic surgery, including total hip replacement, with a special interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques such as laparoscopy and arthroscopy.

Dr. Greer has extensive experience in, but not limited to, the stabilization of severe traumas, intoxications, mechanical ventilation and pain management. As a criticalist, her interests include emergency ultrasound techniques, sepsis and postoperative care.

Dr. Rebecca Saunders grew up in Chicago and attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate degree. She then went on to attend veterinary school at the University of Missouri.

Jenny Howard is a St. Louis native who obtained a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Webster University in 2015, followed by a doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri in 2019.

Dr. Mary Jean Gorse knew at a very early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian; however, she never dreamed that she would build one of the largest veterinary referral and emergency centers in the Midwest. Dr.
