Dr. Bonnie E Smith obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology, as well as her veterinary medical degree, from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She then completed a one year rotating medicine and surgery internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York, New York. Dr. Smith came home to Missouri and worked as an emergency veterinarian for one year at the Animal Emergency Clinic in St. Louis. She then returned to The Animal Medical Center in New York to complete a three-year residency in medical oncology.
Dr. Smith has worked at Veterinary Specialty Services since completing her residency.
